In 1984, the Apple Macintosh was released and Apple computers dominated the market. It was not a quick success. It went into production from January of 1984 to October of 1985.

This now brings up the idea of portability. A desktop, normally, stays where it is installed. A laptop is made for travel. You can do your work at hot spots (i.e. McDonald’s, coffee shops, book stores, etc.) or just in different rooms of your home; you are not tied down other than staying within the range of your wireless LAN when at home. This makes it much easier to sit on the porch enjoying the nice weather, ComportComputers going to the kitchen for a snack, or catching up on you «important» television shows while still creating documents.

learning computers Another advantage is that much of the job world requires some basic computer skills. Being able to use a computer, office suite, and knowing how to type are very important. On top of that there are many jobs of the future that will require advanced skills that a student will need to learn and know.

In that course was introduced an innovative new method: Learning Platform (Lernplattform), in which all students were connected to each other through Internet and also with the teacher. This meant that not only we would learn on Saturdays, but also other days of the week and kept us busy. Markus on Sunday gave us a task to be solved in the space of four days. This task was to review a topic and send to teacher our opinion in writing, all through the platform. He then sent us corrections, one day before class, i.e. Friday, and there we could see what mistakes we have committed and teacher recommendations to correct them. These messages and comments were seen by all students.

So what is it that draws people to either computer? Well, people are usually drawn to one or the other based on an experience they’ve had in the past. The majority of people that use computers in the past have used personal computers. If they’ve had a bad experience with one, and they want to try something new. So what they do? They go to Apple. They get the computer and if it doesn’t have the same problems, they will be happy and say that it is the best staff computer. Though it’s not as common, the exact same thing could be true the other way around.

The problem for most people is this; they need a fix to their income and debt problem and they need it now! The truth is, there’s no magic money making pill or getting out of debt trick, it all takes some determination and willingness on your part. My hope is that after reading this article, you will at least take a look at the tremendous opportunities available online.

First of all, don’t try to learn it all in one go. Intensively going at it to try to learn in one afternoon just doesn’t work very well… and it’s not much fun, either! Instead, spend say 20-30 minutes an evening a couple of times a week on it. Of course, if you’re having fun and want to do more, that’s fine, but don’t feel you have to.
